Eric Jones Advances to November General Election

Jones Surpasses Riehle as Late Ballots Confirm Campaign's Projections
Thompson's Sub-41% Primary Finish Sets Up Competitive November Race

NAPA, CA – Eric Jones for Congress today announced that Eric has officially surpassed Republican candidate Ray Riehle in the race for California's 4th Congressional District, securing the second spot in the November general election alongside incumbent Rep. Mike Thompson.

The result confirms what the Jones campaign projected in the days following Election Night: as vote-by-mail ballots continued to be counted, the district's voters delivered a clear verdict that they are ready for a new generation of leadership.

"This campaign has always been about giving working families a voice in a political system that no longer works for them," said Jones. "From the moment the polls closed, we believed the votes were there because we knew the conversations we had at the doors, at community events, and around kitchen tables across this district.

"Nearly two-thirds of voters cast their ballots for someone other than the incumbent. That is a powerful signal that people are hungry for change. Families are struggling with housing and healthcare costs, utility bills, and a government that seems more responsive to corporate lobbyists than ordinary Americans.

"Our campaign is about restoring the American Dream. That means expanding Medicare coverage for seniors, delivering tax relief for working families, building more housing, protecting family farms, ending congressional corruption, and putting people ahead of special interests, " said Jones campaign manager, Brian Parvizshahi. “The primary results didn't just show that change is possible in this district, they proved it. Now we go into a general election with a grassroots army, zero corporate money, and a candidate who actually reflects what voters here are going through."

Jones closed by emphasizing the contrast he intends to draw in the general election.

"Too many people look at this district and see prosperity," Jones said. "But I see seniors choosing between prescriptions and utility bills. I see young families priced out of the communities where they grew up. I see farmers struggling to stay afloat and working people wondering if their children will have a better future than they did.

"For nearly three decades, Washington has promised solutions while costs have risen, trust in government has collapsed, and ordinary families have fallen further behind. At some point, experience without results is not leadership.

"The people of this district are asking for something different. They're asking for accountability. They're asking for new leadership. They're asking for change. And together, we're going to give them that choice in November."
