Governor Newsom,

We, the undersigned, are calling on you to sign AB 2700 and force PG&E to pay the fire survivors for the damage they left behind.

PG&E's equipment ignited the 2017 North Bay firestorm and the 2018 Camp Fire. The company pleaded guilty to 84 counts of involuntary manslaughter for Paradise and admitted in open court that it killed those people. Even the survivors of the Tubbs Fire, where 22 people died and more than 5,600 structures burned, were swept into PG&E's bankruptcy and left to the same trust as everyone else.

Seven years later, PG&E has clawed its way back to billion-dollar profits. Its victims have been paid about 70 cents on the dollar. Some are still living in trailers on the ashes of their homes.

AB 2700 is on your desk. It makes the state put a number on what these families are still owed and lay out how PG&E and its shareholders, not ratepayers, pay every cent.
