CAMPAIGN FELLOW.

If you are a student looking to gain campaign experience via an internship,

we invite you to apply to our fellowship program!

The Campaign Fellow program is an unpaid, educational, volunteer-based opportunity designed to provide students with hands-on learning in political organizing, voter outreach, and grassroots campaign operations.

Fellows will work alongside our campaign staff and mentors to observe and support daily organizing efforts while developing practical, transferable skills in communication, leadership, and civic engagement. 

Who Should Apply?

We encourage students of all majors are encouraged to apply. This fellowship is especially valuable for students seeking hands-on training or academic internship credit in politics, public policy, communications, government, non-profit advocacy, and community organizing. No prior campaign experience is necessary; we just want students who are motivated, eager to learn, and ready to make an impact.

Learning Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Learn Grassroots Strategy: Observe and assist staff with volunteer recruitment and engagement.

  • Develop Communication Skills: Participate in supervised voter outreach and community engagement initiatives (including phone banking). Build relationships with community members and volunteers.

  • Learn Event Coordination: Assist with the planning, logistics, and execution of campaign events.

  • Database Management Training:  Learn how to utilize and track outreach data using campaign databases.

  • Professional Development & Collaboration: Attend weekly team meetings/trainings, collaborate with staff on best outreach strategy.

Qualifications

We prefer candidates who are:

  • Strong communicators with a positive attitude

  • Comfortable speaking with people over the phone

  • Reliable and organized

  • Interested in politics, public service, or community engagement

  • Able to work independently while collaborating with a team

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 6  hours per week

  • Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends

  • Commitment through Election Day
