Eric Jones Launches Congressional Campaign in California’s 4th District
Business leader and philanthropist vows to fight for working families, take on Trump’s agenda, and reject Washington’s ineffectiveness and corruption
NAPA,CA – Eric Jones, a business leader and community patron who has driven the creation of tens of thousands of jobs in the great state of California, announced his campaign for Congress in California’s 4th Congressional District.
“I grew up in a family that at times relied on food stamps and disability checks,” Jones said. “I know what it’s like to struggle, take opportunities where they come and work hard to achieve the American Dream. That’s why I’m running for Congress – to make life better for people who work for a living, not the lobbyists and corporate insiders who call the shots in Washington.”
Jones launched his campaign with the release of a new 60-second ad, Buddy.” The spot, filmed along a rural California backroad with Eric’s dog Buddy at his side, paints a clear picture of America in crisis and a political system rigged against working people.
Eric lays out a his agenda for working families:
Close corporate tax loopholes and avoidance so that the typical California family can put $10,000 back in their pockets annually.
Provide universal childcare so parents can go to work without going broke, keeping our kids safe and our workforce competitive.
Ensure in-home care for seniors so every Californian can age with dignity, while creating meaningful good paying jobs.
The video highlights how Donald Trump and the Washington establishment failed the American people – cutting Medicaid to give corporations and billionaires tax breaks – while too many politicians have been in Washington so long that they’ve gone soft on the fight.
Eric’s pledge to voters:
He will never take a dime from corporate PACs.
He will never take a dollar from lobbyists.
He will never trade a stock while he is in Congress.
In announcing his campaign, Jones said:
“Washington is broken. Trump and his CEO buddies are calling the shots, and too many politicians in Washington are looking the other way. I’m not running to be part of their club. I’m running to break their grip on power and put working people first. If you’re tired of the corruption, the excuses, and the same old politicians, this campaign is for you.”
“Eric Jones has never held office, never been part of the Washington machine, and has never played by their rules,” said Brian Parvizshahi, campaign manager. “He’s a business leader and philanthropist with real-world experience who’s ready to shake things up and fight for the people who actually keep our country running.”
The “Buddy” ad will run on television, streaming, and social media throughout the district.
