What I Stand For

Life in Northern California is beautiful, but we’re paying for it: the financial pain of living here is growing for so many of us and our neighbors.

We work hard, contribute to our community, and pay our fair share. In return, we hope for an affordable life, the chance to build a better one, a government that will support us when we’re down, and a system that rewards our achievements.

Instead, “making it” feels out of reach — it’s getting harder and harder just to get by. And it’s not because we aren’t working hard enough.

It’s because our system is rigged against us.

It doesn’t represent us, and it isn’t working for us. It’s not increasing affordability or making it easier to live the American Dream.

The system favors the large corporations that buy into Washington’s corrupt pay-to-play system and the politicians who line their pockets. Simply put: these same corporations pay off our politicians and fund their campaigns.

They fund Trump’s cronies who cut corporate taxes and attack the services we rely on — that my family relied on. Medicaid. Food stamps. Disability checks.

And yes, they even fund politicians in our party: the Corporate Democrats whose benefactors burn down our planet and don’t pay taxes — the Corporate Democrats who for years have made empty promises to working Americans, only to quiver in the shadow of Trump.

These politicians have tried to force-feed us a choice: choose either growth and “prosperity” OR a fair, affordable society.

But this is America. Our nation embodies progress — for individuals, for families, for economy, for country, for society. We can do it all, and we can have it all. We can build, grow, and innovate — all while making life more affordable, more equal, and more fair.

But, to do so, we, the Democratic Party, need vision:

Bold leaders, new ideas, and Progressive American Values.

To innovate and excel.

To make life more affordable.

To protect and expand our inalienable rights.

To aspire to greatness.

To change our party, our politics, and our country.

To actually represent us.

To actually fight back against Donald Trump.

To redeem the American Dream.

I will fight every day to do exactly that.

Fair Share Refund

My plan to make large corporations pay their fair share — and to refund your hard-earned dollars.

Accountability for them.

Affordability for the People.

  • While we work hard and pay our taxes, large corporations pay little — or nothing — all while gouging prices.

    My plan to make large corporations pay their fair share:

    • Reversing Trump Corporate Tax Cuts

    • Closing loopholes

    Under President Obama, the corporate tax rate was 35%.

    Now, thanks to Trump, the average large corporation in America pays only 11% in taxes each year.

    President Biden & Corporate Democrats promised to raise their tax rate. But, even when we had full control of the House, Senate, and Presidency, a vote never made it to the floor.

    Funded by people and unbeholden to corporations, I will fight to:

    • Make corporations pay their fair share by returning corporate tax rate back to Obama-era levels

    • Close tax loopholes that allowed companies like Tesla, Big Pharma, and PG&E pay 0% in taxes last year

  • Too many California families are working harder than ever but still falling behind.

    I will fight to put $10,000 back into the pockets of California families.

    Corporate tax dollars should not go unpaid — they should go to work and make our lives better.

    After we fight to make corporations pay their fair share, there will be plenty of money to go around.

    We can pay for new and better healthcare programs. We can lower costs. We can increase the amount of money California workers get to keep of their paychecks.

    Families deserve a fair shot at the American Dream — not an economy rigged for large corporations and those that protect them.

Family Care

A new healthcare plan to make life easier for individuals, families, and seniors.

Because we deserve a healthcare system that serves us — not Big Pharma or the insurance industry.

  • Parents shouldn’t have to choose between putting food on the table and caring for their kids.

    I will fight for universal childcare and pre-k so:

    • Every family has the support they need

    • Every child grows up safe, healthy, and ready to succeed

    We can take care of our children by relying on our communities. And it doesn’t have to cost us a paycheck.

    We shouldn’t have to choose between going to work and ensuring our children are well-cared for.

  • Our parents and grandparents worked hard their entire lives — they deserve to age with dignity.

    I will fight to:

    • Expand access to in-home care on Medicare and Medicaid — ensuring seniors can stay in their homes and communities without fear of losing the care they need

    • Ensure coverage of dental and vision care for America’s seniors

    • Protect Social Security and Medicare

  • We all know that American healthcare is broken.

    We pay more for our healthcare than any other developed country in the world, and we don’t even get the best results. Far from it.

    The system is rigged to make big healthcare and pharma companies rich — not to take care of us.

    It is why I will fight to:

    • Make prescription generic drugs free in America

    • Hold insurance companies responsible for rigging the claims system

    • Eliminate the insurance-imposed age cap for dependents on commercial plans

  • Women have a right to full bodily autonomy.

    And families deserve unfettered access to the tools they need to grow their families.

    I am proud to have helped build the world’s largest virtual clinic for women’s and family health. I understand how critical these services they are — and how we can expand access.

    I will fight to ensure that reproductive healthcare is universally available and covered by your insurance.

    This includes:

    • IVF & fertility treatments

    • Abortion access

    • Contraception

    • Routine OB/GYN care

End Government Corruption

I will fight corruption and corporate power to make our government serve us.

Our elected officials should serve people — not corporations and special interests.

  • Washington is broken because too many politicians put themselves and their donors ahead of the people.

    They let corporations and special interests fund their campaigns.

    I will reject:

    • Corporate PAC money

    • Lobbyist cash

    • Stock trading in Congress

    And I will support legislation that makes it harder — not easier — for large corporations to buy out our politicians and for elected officials to prioritize profit.

  • Families shouldn’t have to pay the price for PG&E’s greed and negligence.

    I will:

    • Hold PG&E accountable

    • Push for stronger wildfire prevention

    • Invest in a clean energy future that lowers costs and keeps communities safe

    And you’ll never have to worry about PG&E funding my campaigns.
